Cabin Fever is best ignored by keeping yourself busy. I’ve been learning to use WordPress’ Gutenberg editor. The best way to do that is tell a story with pictures. Relocating to Baker City has provided a lot of new territory to explore. The COVID -19 virus pandemic has limited what we can do for a month or so.

I’ve managed to get several projects underway, seems like a lot but with “possibles” the Pandemic is dealing to us I’m putting a bit more energy into gardening this year. An interesting learning opportunity. We purchased a Mantis tiller to work the soil into garden type sites. We already have a raised bed that is 20′ long a 3′ wide. The weather is nearly here for getting some tomatoes, peppers, herbs, etc. in the ground. We have twelve bareroot red currants coming to plant along our 6 foot tall fence just outside the large window in the living room. Add some bird feeders under the eaves, including an upside down suet feeder for birds, which discourages starlings! The plan is to have a 20+ foot hedge of the flowering red currants which will attract many birds, bees and other photo opportunities. We also have two bushes of another variety the main commercially grown European variety.
We have also been getting more moved in by organizing. We were going to have a yard sale, but have switched to trying to sell items through Marketplace on Facebook. Take good pictures and list. We will see how that goes.
