Cabin Fever #8

Lots has been happening. We took a “honeymoon” week trip traveling to Florence and back. We stopped by the Reynolds part of the family in Bend, had a nice dinner with Tom, Carla, Callie and Danea. We slept in the camper overnight and headed off to the coast early in the morning. We traveled west on Old McKenzie Highway from Sisters, stopping at Dee Wright Observatory. We stopped and saw Dana, Conner and Hallie in west Eugene.

Our time in Florence was just plain AWESOME. A Gastronomic Seafood event/binge! Smoked salmon by Karl! Then Tuna Loin from a 39#er, out of the sea < 2 days. I bought a fresh crab for our first campsite on the way home. We found an open spot at Prairie Campground and spent the night.

Next stop, Ochoco Divide Campground. Beautiful setting, first come first serve. Arriving there by noon, I had my pick of campsites. I could have easily offloaded the camper if we needed to explore. Two days of barely any phone service.

December 29, 2020 – PoliCovidComa Recovery

As I often do, I’m reflecting on accomplishments for this year and dreams for the year to be. Perhaps an activity to percolate my brain, dulled by the endless tumbling of everything for most of 2020, will help get me back to joyfulness. Confusion, on purpose and malicious with intent, cause most of us much consternation. I ended up not caring about much of anything. Now that the endless hoopla is slowing and hope is starting to spring again, I’ll put effort into this blog and sharing my pictures. I have had many adventures since I started Cabin Fever #8 and will endeavor to share them.

Trying to stay present with the unnecessary Hoopla requires discipline. I practice mediation, using the app “Daily Calm”, and have learned to quiet my mind.
