Multitasking in SloMo???

Spread the love

My life often seems like I’m multitasking and staying in the same place. That’s when it is time to sit and ponder where you started and more importantly…where you are. I am sitting in a house that is slowly becoming comfortable, albeit, too large, but none the less comfortable. Part of the comfort comes with forming friendships with others, with whom I can have discourse. I am grateful for new friendships, an important part of expanding your horizons. The other part is being actually able to see the progress Patty Higham has made getting this house cleaned and prepared for sale, sometimes I get dizzy with the whirl of the activity. Again, the “band family” surrounds their members in need. I will pass it forward, I hope I always have, and will continue the tradition.

Most of my hours are consumed by eBay. The rewards are satisfying, with some planning I could schedule a two day period to drive to Florence and photograph my friend, Jack’s, workflow in his matting and framing operation. Did I mention I now have a room that is empty and ready for rebirth into that purpose?!!

My life isn’t all work, Greta gets me to take breaks with her throughout during my eBay tasks. Once I have half of my daily goal met and it isn’t raining we go to Trojan Park for continued “off-leash” experience. She hasn’t needed to wear the shock collar for several weeks. On Sunday, the Rainer Fire Department had two training stations set up in the large parking lot that is part of the off-leash area and she was in control by voice only. Last night, she asked to go outside and there was a possum on the porch that slowly went away from her. I was able to call her (loud voice) and she came and went back into the house.

I’m ready for some drier weather. My grass is getting tall enough to hide the uneven spots, making walking on the grass a dangerous thing for me. Fortunately, Greta can be encourage to stay in the safe areas of our acre+ property. E Gads, I got a storm warning notification for more rain.

I started this post more than a week ago and never reached a point of peacefulness with it. I think I will lay credit to the rain…too much of it. I’ve managed to get 30% of the mowing done today, while still keeping up with the eBay treadmill. Greta and I have made it to Trojan Park for our “off leash” time I just looked at the weather forecast. I have one more day without rain, mostly cloudy, followed by several days of rain. Seasonal affected disorder is real and exacerbated for me by the rain. I know, the days are now getting longer, but there is too much rain on my parade.
